A restore request selects a protected resource, recovery point, restore target, and the objects or records to recover. The operation returns a task that you can monitor until it completes.

Workflow

  1. Use discovery to locate the restore operation for the workload.
  2. Select a completed recovery point.
  3. Provide the destination account, region, and target resource when restoring across boundaries.
  4. Submit the request and record the returned task ID.
  5. Monitor the task, then verify the restored data.
The endpoint path and request body differ by workload. This page is a guide to the workflow; use the canonical endpoint reference for the operation-specific schema.
