Changed

Date format preference

Users can set Date format under My Profile → Profile Settings to MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, or YYYY/MM/DD. The choice applies across the portal.
Changed

Additional Google Cloud regions

Backup and restore now cover:
  • Montreal (northamerica-northeast1) on the Canada control plane
  • Osaka (asia-northeast2) on the Japan control plane
AddedChanged

Japan control plane

New control plane in Tokyo (ap-northeast-1) at jp.portal.clumio.com, with data planes in Tokyo and Osaka. It supports AWS and Google Cloud.

Apache Iceberg V3

Iceberg backups now include V3 tables on AWS Glue and Amazon S3 Tables. Deletion vectors, row lineage, and variant columns are preserved. A restore recreates the table at the format version of the selected snapshot.

Snapshot-only restore is generally available

RDS, DocumentDB, and Neptune SecureVault Standard backups can be delivered as a snapshot in the destination AWS account, without creating a live database. See Restore.

Protection group bucket rules on organizational-unit moves

Moving a protection group to a different organizational unit, including the move caused by deleting an OU, now deletes that group’s bucket rule. Manually added buckets are kept. Auto-added buckets leave the group. Existing backups remain restorable until retention expires.
Added

AddedChanged

Snapshot-only restore (early access)

RDS, DocumentDB, and Neptune SecureVault Standard backups can be copied into the destination account as a snapshot. Contact Clumio Support to enable. Generally available on 14 August 2026.

Column sorting on asset and alert lists

Sortable columns now apply across all result pages for AWS and GCS asset lists, and for alerts (Alert raised on, Alert updated on).
AddedChanged

Custom roles are generally available

Create roles by selecting permissions instead of using only the predefined set. See Roles.

Protection rules can match assets by name

Protection rules accept name conditions (exact, any-of, or contains) alongside tags, through the UI, REST API, and Terraform provider. EC2 and EBS names come from the AWS Name tag.

Iceberg snapshot selection in policies

Iceberg policies can back up only the latest snapshot, only compaction snapshots, or both. Narrower snapshot selection reduces point-in-time granularity on restore.
AddedChanged

Google Cloud Storage is generally available

GCS support includes SecureVault Standard and Archive, continuous backup, and restore of objects, prefixes, or buckets to the same or another project or region.

AWS opt-in regions enabled by default

Hyderabad, Zurich, Milan, Spain, and Tel Aviv can be onboarded without contacting support first. See Supported regions.

Japanese portal language

Users can set Profile Settings → Language to Japanese. The preference is per user.

Consumption report filters

Consumption reports can filter by backup tier and use calendar-aligned or rolling time windows resolved in UTC.
Added

Additional AWS regions

  • Europe control plane: Milan (eu-south-1), Tel Aviv (il-central-1)
  • US West control plane: Hyderabad (ap-south-2)
These are AWS opt-in regions. See Supported regions.
Added

Protection rules for S3 Tables

Protection rules can match AWS S3 Tables by account, region, and tags. Direct policy assignment on a table overrides a matching rule.
Added
